Moving to Paris is an exciting adventure for any brave soul that is ready to leave their home and dive into the French culture. To many students’ surprise, the first few months in Paris are tough. Not only are you dealing with new experiences, but getting integrated into the city proves challenging. There are endless amounts of Red Tape and documentation to complete upon arrival: visas, finding apartments, setting up a bank, getting a phone, etc. Moreover, you often need a visa to get a bank account, a bank account to get an apartment and and apartment to get a bank account. Without a bank account, you cannot get a phone, which makes it hard to get an apartment……. Anyway, you get the idea – IT SUCKS!
Paris, Peice of Cake (Paris PoC) was thought up by students (and those that wish they still were) to help new students overcome these struggles, integrate quickly and have a good snapshot of the excitement hidden within Paris. Paris PoC will help students get through more than just the administrative nightmares, but give tips and tricks to start benefiting from all that Paris has to offer immediately.
For now, Paris PoC will act as your information hub for arrondissements (neighborhoods), shopping, eating, nightlife and more. All of the content is created for and by students, reviewed by our staff and updated daily. You can be sure that what you see on Paris PoC is what is in the NOW, le mode, the cool local side of Paris. Moving into the future, Paris PoC will start to offer apartment rentals and services like setting up your bank and getting your visa before you arrive!!!
